About Karo

Long story short, I was born in Poland, brought up close to nature, engaged in arts since I can remember and studied graphic design in Gdansk.
I visited Sydney in my early 20s, initially for 3 months only.. but I liked it and kept on staying, moving around and working in NSW, NT, WA, SA and QLD - it’s been almost 9 years in Australia now.

I’ve been freelancing as a visual artist and graphic designer for over 12 years and I found my next passion in combining arts and curiosity for human beings and took it on as a career. I studied arts psychotherapy at IKON (finished in 2023) and worked since, both in the community and a private mental health clinic in Adelaide and surroundings, as well as through arts in health programs (GAHA & Mount Barker Community Centre).

I now freelance in graphic design and work as an arts therapist, facilitate 1:1 and group sessions and offer my services to people who are seeking support or want to explore.

I value sustainability, responsibility, humour, creativity and connection.
